A manufacturer of solid wood raised panel doors contracted us to manufacture this precision turned carbide tipped shaper/cutter used for the shaping of raised door panels. The bit required precision CNC machining that included turning, milling, and CNC profiling which we performed on our CNC grinders.
The bit was manufactured from steel, silver, and carbide, measuring 10″ in length, and 0.843″ in width. Machined to tolerances of ±.001″, it also received dynamic balancing as well as being subject to stringent quality control measures.
